The Ladies of Anonymous 4 - Marsha Genensky, Ruth Cunningham, Jacqueline Horner, Susan Hellauer

Marsha Genensky, Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, Susan Hellauer and Ruth Cunningham

Well, this is it: The last notes have been sung. After a journey spanning over a thousand years of music, nearly 30 years of international touring and more 20 recordings on the harmonia mundi label, Anonymous 4 is closing up shop.

Singers Ruth Cunningham, Marsha Genensky, Susan Hellauer, and Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek, as well as founding member Johanna Maria Rose, each look forward to new projects and adventures, some already in motion, others as yet to be discovered.

We want to thank the first concert presenters and radio show hosts who were willing to take us on (among them Louise Basbas/Music Before 1800; John Schaefer/ New Sounds; Bob Davis/Millennium of Music), Robina Young from harmonia mundi for her willingness to take a risk with us, our longtime friends at harmonia mundi, Alliance Artist Management and Unfinished Side Productions, and the many concert, festival, and radio presenters in North America and beyond who have hosted us over the years.

We feel honored to know that Anonymous 4s recordings and performances have been enjoyed by so many loyal fans, and that our music has helped certain of our listeners in deeply meaningful ways. Were also thrilled that our work has inspired the formation of other new ensembles, both amateur and professional; were eager to watch as your paths unfold.

Please watch in future for news about Anonymous 4 -- and for updates from each of us on our individual pursuits -- on Anonymous 4s Facebook page and on our individual websites: ruthcunningham.com, jacquelinehorner.com, and more to come . . .
